Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Reports To: Data Principal

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Team. You will be working with stakeholders from tech and non-tech departments. You will be comfortable with stakeholder engagement and take ownership for the delivery of key solution components.

Skills / Experience

· Strong SQL skills, with significant experience in Microsoft SQL Server

· Database administration (e.g. Replication, Performance tuning, Monitoring)

· Proficiency with at least one of the major cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, GCP, AWS)

· Design and build of modern data pipelines (e.g. Azure Data Factory)

· Demonstrable experience working across the full SDLC, from analysis and design, through build, and into production

· Working knowledge of relational database design fundamentals

· Building, testing and deployment of optimised data solutions for analytics and reporting

· Supporting the planning of data platform services including sizing, configuration, and needs assessment.

Desirable Skills

· Experience using version control tooling (e.g. Git, SVN)

· Experience working with Azure Databricks

· Experience working with Azure Events Hub
